Job Summary

• Develop Project Schedule in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
• Develop standard operation procedures and quality or safety standards for solar installation work.
• Responsible for end to end execution of solar PV projects and for operational level understanding of the requirement of the client/customer, Site Visits, Site feasibility & Solar Systems Design and complete execution

Key Accountabilities

• Prepare communication plan and related project status reports. Provide technical services in various areas of solar projects such as: site selection, solar farms sites suitability studies, plant design, PV module layouts, energy production, engineering analysis, due diligence and field measurements Participate in project proposals detailing a clearly defined scope and understanding of client required deliverables and establishing a corresponding budget that satisfies the client's expectations Create and distribute RFPs to potential EPC subcontractors, establish evaluation metrics, and select winning proposals.
• Develop and maintain project timeline, identify critical path and key milestones for project's success. Work with client to clarify and communicate project objectives, including success criteria in order to identify project team, and ensure project deliverables stay on-time, on-target, and on-budget Asses project risks, barriers, and issues and propose possible solutions and mitigation strategies
• Ensure the use of best practices and apply lessons learned from previous projects Carry out both pre-construction and operational energy analysis, including: o Review, validation, and analysis of meteorological data for solar resource assessments.o Design and optimization of solar plants to meet project requirements.o Estimation of plant losses and calculation of assessment uncertainties.o Management and analysis of project data.o Evaluation of project constraints, risks, and other non-quantitative aspects of plant development. Conduct engineering site audits to collect structural, electrical, and related site information for use in the design of residential, commercial, industrial or utility scale PV system. Provide technical direction or support to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring.
• Create checklists for review or inspection of completed solar installation projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

• Educational Qualifications and Certifications: University degree in Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge: Experience with solar PV system design, inverters, wiring, grounding, utilities interface and performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of current PV technology with a focus on project execution operation and with estimating or designing electrical systems is mandatory
• Good knowledge of the technical best practices as well as local requirements for solar project development in KSA, construction and operation, including inspection, testing and commissioning of Solar PV Plants.
• Knowledge in PVsyst ,AutoCAD and electrical design concepts
• Familiar with international Standards for solar PV systems, and other relevant standards
• Technical Skills: Technically proficient in the field of solar PV projects, communication, leadership, time management, technical writing, and computer skills
• Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Arabic
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience performing design of solar PV systems, project initiation, installation, testing, commissioning and operation.
