Job Summary
To plan, coordinate, and execute steel fabrication and manufacturing projects by ensuring timely delivery, technical compliance, cost control, and effective coordination between engineering, production, quality, and site teams in line with project requirements and company standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Plan and manage assigned steel projects from kick‑off to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, quality, and cost targets.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality, and Site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure technical accuracy and constructability.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and report deviations with corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and company procedures throughout project execution.
- Support procurement and material planning to ensure timely availability of steel and project materials.
- Manage project documentation including schedules, progress reports, technical submittals, and handover records.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and execution issues.
- Support cost control by monitoring variations, change requests, and resource utilization.
- Participate in project handover, close‑out activities, and lessons‑learned reviews.
- Develop project execution plans (scope, milestones, deliverables, and resources) and align them with production planning/project controls.
- Identify and manage project risks/constraints and control changes (impact on cost/schedule, maintain change log, escalation when needed).
- Manage interfaces with Warehouse and Systems (M3) to ensure workflow readiness, correct routings, and process/cost control.
- Ensure readiness of quality deliverables (ITP/inspection points, FAT requirements, and MDR documentation) prior to dispatch
Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude
- Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Project Management certification (PMP/PRINCE2) is a plus.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of steel fabrication, structural works, and manufacturing processes (including packaging/enclosures and industrial skids) Project execution in a factory environment (drawings release, material readiness, inspection, and shipment) Basics of contract administration, change management, and project financial awareness.
- Technical Skills: Project planning and coordination, including scheduling tools (MS Project / Primavera) and progress measurement. Reading and interpreting fabrication/construction engineering drawings, including BOMs and specifications. Proficient with MS Office (Excel) and ERP systems awareness (M3 workflow / order processing), with disciplined documentation control. Ability to prepare professional reports, dashboards, and presentation materials
- Language Skills: Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in project engineering, preferably within steel fabrication or industrial manufacturing.
