Job Summary

  • To oversee and manage all operational and administrative activities within a specific branch, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to procedures, achievement of performance targets, and accurate financial and operational reporting. This role acts as a key liaison between the branch and head office, ensuring alignment with company-wide strategies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day branch operations, including transportation, warehousing, logistics, and customer service activities (as applicable to the branch).
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the branch and report on operational and financial performance to branch and/or regional management, and head office.
  • Budget Management & Cost Control: Manage the branch budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements<sup _ngcontent-ng-c2748623625="" data-turn-source-index="1"> to enhance efficiency and productivity within the branch. 
  • Inventory Control (if applicable): Oversee inventory management within the branch, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing discrepancies.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, safety regulations, and legal requirements. Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Resource Management: Manage branch resources effectively, including staffing, equipment, and facilities.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Support customer service activities and address customer inquiries and complaints within the branch.
  • Communication & Coordination: Act as a key communication link between the branch and head office, ensuring alignment with company-wide strategies and initiatives.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise administrative and operational staff within the branch.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Compile, analyze, and interpret operational and financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

  • Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., in logistics, supply chain management, finance) are a plus.
  • Knowledge:Solid understanding of logistics, transportation, and/or warehouse operations (depending on the branch's focus). Knowledge of financial management principles, budgeting, and cost control. Familiarity with performance metrics and reporting. Understanding of relevant safety regulations and legal requirements.
  • Technical Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Experience with ERP systems, WMS, TMS, and other relevant software. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Language Skills: Arabic and English are essential.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an operational or administrative role, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience in the logistics or related industry is highly preferred.
