Job Summary

• Perform Preventive Maintenance Service (PMS) of the Generators at site / project and take hourly reading of the equipment, provide assistance to O&M team and must have the ability to perform the job assigned in a timely and accurate form and develop the initiative to learn and assist Senior Generator operator

Key Accountabilities

• Perform monitoring and adjustments of Generator parameters for the satisfactory operation of the units as guided by Senior Operator and Site Supervisor.
• Perform PMS of the Generators independently at site and workshop.
• Perform the job assigned in a timely and accurate manner; develop the initiative to learn and assist senior generator operator. In conjunction with other Service personnel: fit, connect, and arrange setups including cabling of Generators and Auxiliary equipment, in accordance to the technical specifications / requirements, maintaining safety precautions at all times.
• Assist electricians and mechanics during installation and commissioning phase of the equipment at the site and on other tasks as the situation may require.
• Perform cleaning / washing of equipment at site & workshop.
• Assist installation team as helper during installation phase of the site.
• Assist Senior Generator Operator and Site Supervisor in loading / offloading of Equipment during Mobilization / Demobilization phase of project Ensure proper filling / record keeping of Daily log sheet reports, fuel receipts, and generation reports.

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

• Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Secondary level of education or diploma
• Knowledge: Knowledge in Power Plant Operational Activities, Generators operating skills and Reading parameters
• Technical Skills: Generator operating skills and tools
• Understanding of reading parameters
• Language Skills: Arabic is desirable. English is essential
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Generator Operator (preferably CAT) at power plant and knowledge of onsite operations activities.
