Job Summary

• Work from complex drawings, prototype sketches, electronic files and/or verbal instructions to facilitate the manufacturing of parts and assemblies by setting up, and operating manual and CNC mills and lathes, EDM and a variety of general machine shop equipment.
• Must be able to set up CNC vertical/Horizontal mills with NC code controls.
• Must be able to complete machining operations including in-process inspection per routers, blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions.
• Daily operation of the CNC milling Machine.

Key Accountabilities

Set up, adjust and operate CNC vertical/horizontal milling machine, 3-axis and multi-axis machines. Machine parts and applications for a wide variety of materials and sizes using blueprint drawings, CAD models, and pre-written CNC programs on CNC mills and other equipment. 'G' + 'M' code programming, Operating, Decimal and metric system. Ability to calculate using fractions and decimals identify radii required. Experience with precision measurement devices, performance, manufacturability, safety and cost. Quality minded at all times and Familiarity cutting tools with required hand tools. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Help solve machining problems related to machine. Help solve machining problems related to the CNC machine and Change tooling as needed. Provide machining support for the fabrication of components which range in size from miniature to very large and include common materials with hazardous characteristics. Responsible for production of high precision parts and performing complex setups required to produce the parts. Uses hand and power tools such as saws, sanders, Hydraulic presses, mills, grinders, and uses necessary precision measuring instruments, fixtures and gages. Recognizing tool wear and replacing or changing worn tools. Help train and assist new operators. Manual Deburring, Drilling, Broaching, and other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

• Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Technical High School, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge: Strong Knowledge in CNC milling Machines, Machining tools.
• Technical Skills: Strong Knowledge in CNC Milling and other CNC Machines, 'G' + 'M' code programming.
• Language Skills: Understanding English written and verbal communications skills.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar position, or in mechanical section in Machining & fabrication unit.

• Key Internal Contacts: Production team. Procurement team. Warehouse supervisor.
• Purpose of Interaction: Exchange information and sharing ideas. Make sure procurement are selected according to specified specification and sizes. Liaise with store keepers and checking the new items in the stores if it can meet with requested specs and dimensions.
• Key External Contacts: Customers. Zahid Group. 
• Purpose of Interaction: Communicating with the customer and discuss all related details and specs,(If Required). Maintain good coordination within Zahid Group for the needed technical assistance, as required.
