Job Summary

• Responsible for developing technically compliant and commercially competitive Power & Energy solutions by supporting sales teams in application engineering, proposal development, specification alignment, and technical positioning across customer opportunities and projects.
• The role ensures optimized equipment selection, compliance with customer and consultant requirements, and alignment between technical solutions, commercial competitiveness, and operational feasibility.

Key Accountabilities

Technical Solution Development

• Develop technically sound and optimized Power & Energy solutions based on customer requirements and project specifications.
• Support equipment sizing, configuration, and application selection for generator sets, switchgear, control systems, and related accessories.

Proposal & Commercial Support

• Support FSM/RCM in developing competitive technical and commercial proposals.
• Prepare technical submittals, compliance/deviation statements, and solution documentation.
• Ensure technical proposals align with customer requirements and company standards.

Consultant & Customer Engagement

• Support technical discussions with customers, consultants, and EPC contractors.
• Assist in positioning Caterpillar solutions during project development and tender stages.
• Provide technical guidance to support application suitability and system compatibility.

Technical Review & Coordination

• Coordinate with Product Management, Supply Chain, Service, and OEM teams on technical matters.
• Review technical requirements and ensure alignment with available product offerings and standards.
• Support evaluation of third-party systems and interfaces where applicable.

Technical Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with CAT standards, engineering practices, and internal procedures.
• Maintain accuracy and quality of technical documentation and engineering deliverables.
• Support technical risk assessment and solution optimization.

Aftermarket & Lifecycle Support

• Support Service teams on technical clarifications and application-related issues when required.
• Assist in identifying technical upgrades and aftermarket opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

• Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Additional training in Power Systems or control systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Power Systems applications and configurations. Knowledge of generator sets, control systems, switchgear, synchronization, and related accessories. Familiarity with consultant specifications, technical standards, and compliance requirements. Understanding of technical-commercial proposal development and solution optimization
• Technical Skills: Strong application engineering and technical problem-solving capability. Ability to support competitive solution development. Strong coordination with cross-functional teams. Effective communication and presentation skills. Ability to support technical discussions with customers and consultants. Solution-oriented mindset.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English (written and verbal). Arabic is an advantage.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Power Generation or Power Systems industry. Experience in application engineering, proposal development, or technical-commercial support.
