Job Summary

  • To deliver industry-leading service support and outstanding value to our customers in the field, taking pride in making our customers more profitable and providing safe, innovative, eco-focused, and cost-effective solutions in an efficient, timely, and courteous manner.
  • Responsible to startup, diagnose and troubleshoot all electrical panels, i.e. (Distribution panels, MCC, ATS, Synchronization Panels, etc.)

Key Accountabilities

  • Undertake a local site risk assessment prior to commencing service work, preparing an appropriate method statement in line with standard situation procedures and principles, or discuss rectification of site circumstances with the customer and/or Site Supervisor so that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports for inspection and commissioning tasks based on the technical analysis and various inputs from other predictive tools.
  • Hand over panels to customers and familiarize them with safe panel operation in accordance with O&M and Company procedures.
  • Be willing to be trained and updated with skills deemed necessary to enhance job skill requirements.
  • Program and calibrate/tune controller parameters to reach a stable and safe operation state.
  • Fully Aware of Synchronizing panels, switchgears and ATS controls troubleshooting.
  • Maintain high levels of personal appearance, ensuring vehicle, tools, uniform, and personal protective equipment are used correctly.
  • Provide advice to the customer about recommended spare parts for the products during startup phase.
  • Assist Sales Team with Customer visits and provide technical assistance with quotations.

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

  • Educational Qualifications and Certifications: University Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge: knowledge about the parallel operation of Generator sets is a must.
  • Technical Skills: Technical literacy on both electrical and mechanical aspects of the site work is necessary.
  • Possess PC knowledge.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 to 5 years of engineering practice. Field experience with Diesel Engine Generators (preferably CAT), motor control circuits, switchgear, transformers, power distribution panels, design work, servicing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems.
