Economically and efficiently manage Power Project Fleet and Service operation in line with budget and quality, and set standards while achieving an agreeable profit margin on such activities.
Key Accountabilities
Oversee workshop budget and KPM parameters, ensuring adherence to Power Project unit receiving and dispatching procedures.
Ensure timely repair, turnaround, pre-delivery inspection, and high-quality imaging. Recruit, train, and retain ALTAAQA service staff with clear job descriptions.
Foster strong customer relations to ensure ongoing workflow at ALTAAQA facilities and support safe fleet rental operations.
Propose and document cost-saving measures. Equipment presentation should convey a high-quality company image, along with tabulated reports of key performance measures. Coordinate service staff, PMS, replacements, and provide 24/7 support to meet operational objectives within a strict timeline.
Collaborate with CMD on various overhaul/repair jobs, addressing both technical and commercial aspects.
Manage external deals and projects, coordinating with the ALTAAQA Operation Manager to keep power project sites running optimally with 24/7 support for parts, repairs, and maintenance.
Ensure facilities have skilled personnel to meet budget and objectives.
Evaluate Fleet service training needs to equip staff with skills for effective repairs on current and new equipment within PPD.
Assess vehicle and equipment requirements to meet market demands and ensure proper maintenance.
Foster an environment that encourages personnel to contribute to Fleet Service operations and their career growth through ongoing training and development.
Ensure all staff is trained in the Electronic Quality System for continuous improvement and report all warranty jobs to CMD.
Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude
Educational Qualifications and Certifications: University Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Knowledge: Hands-on experience in actually doing the type of work expected from his subordinates.Capable of remaining calm and professional even when dealing with the most difficult customers and ensuring that they are treated fairly at all times.
Technical Skills: PC literacy with exceptional proficiency in MS Office
Language Skills: Arabic is desirable. English is essential
Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience working with a Caterpillar Dealer. Preferably dealing with a large Generator fleet. During this time, he should have held a similar position, or such a position which, from time to time, required him to undertake Service Operation Manager duties
