Job Summary

The Senior Tendering Engineer is responsible for securing new contracts by preparing competitive bids, analyzing project requirements, and coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and clients. The role ensures all tender submissions are accurate, compliant, and strategically positioned to maximize success.

Key Accountabilities

• Supervise the tendering team on behalf of the Department Manager.
• Analyze project requirements and identify technical and commercial aspects.
• Prepare tender documents, including cost estimates, timelines, and technical proposals.
• Review contract terms and conditions and provide recommendations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Project teams to align proposals with client needs.
• Engage with vendors and subcontractors: request quotations, evaluate offers, and prepare comparison sheets.
• Participate in tender evaluation meetings and negotiate with clients to optimize outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate records throughout the bidding process for traceability.
• Support project handover to execution teams after successful tender awards

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

• Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Knowledge: Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Technical Skills: Strong technical and commercial acumen. Proficiency in tendering software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in tendering, project management, or construction/engineering industries. Hands-on experience with E-House, Mobile Substations, and Data Centers. Good knowledge of trailers and semi-trailers. Familiarity with hydraulic systems.
