Job Summary
To program, set up, and operate the robotic welding machine to perform assigned welding activities in accordance with production requirements, technical drawings, and approved work instructions, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and optimal utilization of machine capacity.
Key Accountabilities
- Program, set up, and operate robotic welding machines for assigned production jobs in line with approved drawings and specifications.
- Execute welding tasks for components and assemblies, including precision and sub-assembled parts.
- Adjust welding parameters, fixtures, and tooling to meet production and quality requirements.
- Inspect welds to ensure compliance with quality standards including alignment, penetration, and fusion.
- Conduct in-process inspections and ensure final output meets specifications and tolerances.
- Report defects or deviations promptly and support corrective actions.
- Identify and troubleshoot basic machine and welding issues within the scope of the role.
- Perform tooling changes and recognize tool wear, ensuring timely replacement or escalation.
- Support preventive maintenance activities, inspections, and minor repairs.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and workshop standards.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization in line with 5S standards.
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or incidents immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, defects, and machine performance.
- Complete all required operational documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support knowledge sharing and assist in training new operators when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in line with operational requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude
Educational Qualifications and Certifications: High School or Diploma in Electromechanical Engineering or related field.
Knowledge: Knowledge of robotic welding machines and welding processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with precision measuring tools and quality control techniques.
Technical Skills: Experience with RAPID programming or similar robotic systems is preferred.
Language Skills: Basic English communication skills. Arabic is an advantage.
Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in robotic welding, heavy vehicle, automotive, or manufacturing environment.
