Job Description: 

Job Summary

  • Responsible for managing and driving retail and transactional sales of Power & Energy products within the assigned region, including leading day-to-day commercial activities, ensuring fast response to customer needs, and maximizing conversion of sales opportunities.
  • Owns the performance of the retail segment by managing assigned Sales Representatives and ensuring achievement of sales targets, customer satisfaction, and efficient execution of opportunities.
  • Focuses on smaller (REPS) and fast-moving opportunities, while larger (LEPS) and strategic projects remain under the direct responsibility of the Franchise Sales Manager (FSM).

Key Accountabilities

Retail Sales Execution

  • Own and drive retail and small-to-medium sales opportunities within the assigned territory
  • Ensure timely follow-up on inquiries, quotations, and customer requests.
  • Maximize conversion of leads into orders to achieve revenue targets.

Customer Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships with retail customers and smaller accounts.
  • Ensure high responsiveness and service quality.
  • Drive customer retention and repeat business.

Opportunity & Pipeline Management

  • Own and manage the retail sales pipeline, ensuring visibility and progress of all opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM/CLM systems.
  • Provide regular and reliable pipeline updates to the FSM.

Commercial Execution

  • Prepare and issue quotations in line with approved pricing framework.
  • Lead negotiations within delegated authority and escalate deviations as required.
  • Ensure full compliance with commercial policies and approval matrix.

Team Leadership

  • Directly manage and lead assigned Sales Representatives within the retail segment.
  • Set targets, monitor performance, and ensure achievement of sales objectives.
  • Drive accountability for results and enforce adherence to sales processes and reporting standards.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and continuous performance feedback.

Cross-functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with Application Engineers for technical and application support.
  • Work closely with Service and Parts teams to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise with Supply Chain to support order processing and delivery timelines

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

  • Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. Business-related certifications or training are considered an advantage
  • Knowledge: Commercial & Sales Skills: Strong negotiation and closing skills. Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously. Customer-focused approach with strong service orientation.Operational Skills: Strong time management and prioritization. Mindfulness in quotations and commercial documentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.Communication & Coordination: Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams. Problem-solving and decision-making ability within defined limits
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of Power Systems products and applications (generator sets, accessories, basic sizing concepts). Knowledge of sales processes, quotation preparation, and commercial terms. Familiarity with CRM / CLM systems and sales pipeline management. Basic understanding of project requirements and customer applications
  • Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and verbal)
  • Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Power Systems sales, technical sales, or related industry. Experience in managing a retail/transactional sales environment is preferred. Exposure to generator sets and power solutions is an advantage

  • Key Internal Contacts: (FSM – P&E). Sales Representatives. Application Engineers. Service and Parts Departments. Finance and Supply Chain

  • Purpose of Interaction: Support execution of retail sales activities and order processing. Ensure alignment on pricing, delivery, and customer requirements. Coordinate technical and commercial aspects of deals. Maintain smooth internal workflow for timely order fulfillment.
  • Key External Contacts: Customers and End Users. Small contractors and retail buyers. Local suppliers (as applicable)

  • Purpose of Interaction: Develop and maintain relationships with retail customers. Respond to inquiries and provide timely quotations. Lead negotiations and secure orders within delegated authority. Ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. Capture customer feedback and market insights
