Job Summary
- Manage the procurement supervisors in all regions with clear objectives and procurement standards.
- Implement controls to ensure that the procurement procedures are conducted with the highest level of integrity, efficiency, cost effectiveness and highest Return of Investment.
- Manage all local purchasing and procurement of the goods or services from local and international suppliers.
- Evaluate and identify the relationships with the current suppliers in coordination with the Supplier Relations & Contracts Manager
- Negotiate major contracts for Zahid Group as a whole for key strategic suppliers with national and International presence, based on Zahid quality standards including prompt delivery, keen pricing and advantageous payment terms.
Key Accountabilities
• Assisting departments in implementing procurement best practices and achieving set goals.
• Managing local forecasting, sourcing, logistics, refurbishment, and material handling services.
• Maintaining quality standards, processes, and controls.
• Adherence to procurement policies and budget guidelines.
• Maximizing savings through forecasting, skilled negotiations, and volume purchasing.
• Preparing and processing purchase orders in accordance with company policies, budget, and procedures.
• Source, select, and negotiate for the best purchase package.
• Assisting in sourcing alternative products, suppliers, or sub-contractors.
• Liaising with accounts payable department for accurate invoice payment.
• Maintaining a log of procurement transactions and prices.
• Investigating and resolving operational issues.
• Handling corporate major projects and achieving department and set KPIs.
Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude
- Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Degree in Supply Chain, Commerce or equivalent
- Procurement qualifications such as CIPP, CCMP, SRMP and equivalent certifications is a plus
- Knowledge: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation and production methods.
- Technical Skills: PC literacy skills specifically MS Office Application i.e. MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Language Skills: Arabic is desirable. English is essential
- Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 Years in Procurement or Supply Chain
