Job Summary
To lead and manage the national Used Trucks sales operations by driving revenue growth, optimizing inventory turnover, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The National Used Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing sales teams across all regions, setting performance targets, analyzing market trends, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. This role plays a critical part in maximizing profitability, expanding market share, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers throughout the regions.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare volume and value forecasts for Used Trucks sales per region.
- Set special targets for salesmen, review their performance, call rates, and new prospects.
- Prepare and maintain a list of major customers, and plan strategically to secure their business needs.
- Personally visit top prospects every month.
- Ensure that regional inventory is received, maintained in good condition, and its movement is regularly monitored and accurately recorded.
- Maintain strict control over all sales-related costs to ensure operations remain within budget.
- Review the sales team’s product knowledge and sales techniques on a quarterly basis, and develop appropriate training plans to effectively enhance their selling skills.
- Monitor, ensure, and correct direct costs related to Used Trucks maintenance with the Service Department to align with budgeted costs.
- Closely monitor competitors’ activities, gather and analyze competitive intelligence, and recommend actionable strategies for market penetration and expansion.
Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude
- Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
- University Degree in Business Administration / Mechanical Engineering, or any relevant.
- Knowledge:
- Demonstrates strong negotiation techniques and customer relationship management skills to close deals and maintain long-term partnerships.
- Possesses knowledge in assessing vehicle condition, determining fair market value, and managing the full lifecycle from acquisition to resale.
- Technical Skills:
- Relevant product knowledge.
- Language Skills:
- Fluency in both English and Arabic
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience:
- 8–10 Years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in used equipment/vehicle sales.
