Job Summary

• Maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe operation of trucks and heavy machinery used.
• Ability to make quick diagnosis of mechanical and electrical faults and know the correct repair method.

Key Accountabilities

• Inspect and diagnose for quick efficient repairs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems in trucks and machinery systems, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and brakes.
• Execute repairs and overhauls on trucks and heavy machinery as necessary
• Identify damaged parts, procure replacement parts, and reassemble equipment to manufacturer standards Keeps all work areas of shop including wash bay neat, clean and orderly.
• Strictly following safety rules and precautions to protect himself, the others and the equipment he works on.

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

• Educational Qualifications and Certifications: High School Diploma. Technical training or certification in automotive or heavy equipment mechanics is preferred.
• Knowledge: Should be able to Diagnose faults with the use of Service Manuals and Special Tools and also work on this own with minimal supervision 
• Proficient knowledge of truck and heavy machinery systems, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and brakes.
• Technical Skills: Should be able to read and write English to a good standard and also read and understand all Technical terminology concerning Trucks.
• Language Skills: Arabic is desirable. English is essential
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years practical experience as a mechanic in the machinery construction industry is highly desirable.
