Key Accountabilities
• Drafting, reviewing, amending, negotiating, and advising on legal documentation, contracts, and agreements.
• Drafting, reviewing, and altering statutory documents like Articles and Memorandum of Association.
• Providing clear legal advice to all business units.
• Assisting in intellectual property-related matters, including trademark registration, cancellation, and transfer.
• Assisting in Power of Attorneys-related matters.
• Assisting HRD in revising employment contracts and labour documents.
• Assisting in incorporation of companies and other legal entities.
• Liaising with public entities, notaries, governments, and public officials.
• Staying updated with developments in relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborating with business units to ensure legal activities are conducted in accordance with applicable law.
Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude
Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelor Degree in Law is mandatory, and preferably an LLM from a reputable law school A professional qualification (solicitor, barrister, attorney at law, lawyer etc) is desirable
Knowledge: Good knowledge of the law, including but not limited to Companies Law, Labour Law, IPR law, contracting law, data protection, etc. Good knowledge of Sharia principles
Technical Skills: Preparation and Presentation Skills
Knowledge of E-mail, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office
Ability to use special legal databases and ministries portals and websites
Language Skills: Arabic is desirable. English is essential
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of extensive legal experience gained in a reputable law firm and/or in house legal department
