Job Summary
Ensure high‑quality technical communication by equipping the sales team with accurate, timely, and customer‑specific technical information that supports inquiry resolution, product interpretation, and precise parts/component selection. The role manages the full cycle of customer technical requests—identification, assessment, validation, and follow‑up—ensuring all responses align with ECS’s product capabilities and real‑time stock availability. This contributes directly to faster decisions, higher accuracy, and improved customer confidence.
Key Accountabilities
- Identify and validate correct parts and part numbers for heavy‑duty trucks, ensuring technical accuracy and enabling sales executives to provide precise solutions to customers.
- Respond to technical inquiries with clarity, accuracy, and urgency, ensuring sales teams receive the information required to address customer needs and progress opportunities.
- Interpret technical documentation, schematics, and specifications to support product selection, troubleshoot issues, and guide sales teams through complex technical requirements.
- Conduct structured market research across new regions, gathering insights on prevalent truck specifications, competitor offerings, aftermarket dynamics, and emerging industry trends.
- Maintain up‑to‑date product and technical knowledge, including new releases, supersessions, engineering changes, and relevant industry standards affecting heavy‑duty truck components.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution briefs, FAQs, and best‑practice guides, ensuring consistent knowledge sharing across internal teams and customer‑facing functions.
Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude
Educational Qualifications and Certifications:
- Industrial diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field..
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of heavy commercial vehicle systems and key truck components.
- Knowledge of OEM parts identification, including cross‑referencing and VIN/application matching.
- Familiarity with technical drawings, schematics, and component specifications.
- Understanding of troubleshooting basics, root‑cause logic, and warranty evaluation principles.
- Awareness of refurbishment standards and component inspection concepts
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Electronic Parts Catalogs (EPC) and OEM parts databases.
- Ability to validate parts compatibility using technical specifications.
- Strong capability in technical communication—explaining issues clearly to sales teams and customers.
- Solid Excel and data analysis skills for basic reporting and market insights.
- Ability to manage multiple technical inquiries with accuracy and accountability
Language Skills:
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required; proficiency in additional languages such as Arabic, French, or Hindi is considered an advantage
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in the heavy‑duty vehicle (HDV) and/or automotive parts and product field, with practical experience working with European heavy truck brands.
