Job Summary

• To provide leadership to the team as a positive role model with effective supervision and coordination to the seniors and peers in your team. Carry out hands-on-coaching as and when required.

Key Accountabilities

• Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications/drawings, using various tools such as but not limited to jigs, fixtures, straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler. Cuts work pieces, using powered saws, hand shears, or Oxyacetylene or Guillotine Bend work pieces according to drawing/specification using press-brake.
• Roll work pieces according to drawing/specification using plate rollers. Form work pieces according to drawing/specification using but not limited to press-brakes, Dishing, flanging and forming presses.
• Able to set basic parameters of above-mentioned machine tools. Drill, punch and slot holes and notch corners of steel plates according to drawings, specifications using various tools such as but not limited to drilling machines, punch-press, angle grinders etc.
• Develops templates, fixtures and other work aids to hold and align parts. Observes tests on welded surfaces, such as pneumatic, hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications.
• Must be able to work in various positions including kneeling, squatting, bending, and reaching. Assignment will require employees to be able to frequently push/pull/lift up to 45 pounds.
• Employees may occasionally push/pull/lift greater than 45 pounds.

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

• Educational Qualifications and Certifications: High School / Diploma - College of Technology (Mechanical Engineering) would be preferable.
• Knowledge: Ability to read and independently work from drawings.Ability to train, direct and work with others in fabrication workAbility to communicate effectively.Ability to determine priorities.Relevant experience within steel fabrication industry (more than 3 years would be an advantage).Relevant experience on in sheet metal and structural steel erection and fabrication
• Technical Skills: Understand design drawing and work instructions including quality check list.
• Language Skills: Arabic is desirable. English is essential Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years with workshop experience, preferably with at least 3 years Fabricator.
